On Friday, November 22, 2024, the West Morris Junior Women's Club presented Center for Family Services with a check for $2,000 to feed local families at Thanksgiving, in addition to 362 bags of complete Thanksgiving Meals, which was a new record of bagged meals.  The Juniors also presented checks for $1,000 plus many cases of food to the Chester/Mendham Food Pantry, $1,000 to nourish.NJ and $800 Market Street Mission to feed even more families this Thanksgiving!  Food and monetary donations were collected from the generous families at Hilltop Elementary and Mendham Township Elementary Schools and from the Chester Girl Scouts.

Hilltop Elementary

1st place - Mrs. Kollamana's 2nd grade ($395 and 149 boxes of pie crust)

2nd place - Mrs. Johnson's 4th grade ($425 and 139 cans of veggies)

3rd place - Mrs. Ascione's 4th grade ($355 and 71 cans of yams)

Mendham Township Elementary

1st - Mrs. Allen's Kindergarten ($1,020 and 349 mashed potatoes)
2nd - Mrs. Johnson's Kindergarten ($530 + 248 boxes of stuffing)
3rd - Mrs. Barlow's 4th grade ($300 + 40 cans of veggies)

Girl Scouts - Daisies & Brownies

1st - Troop K 99004 ($220 + 55 cans of yams)
2nd - Troop 2nd 98637 ($25 + 380 gravy packets + 21 boxes of pie crust)
3rd - Troop 3rd 98449 ($90 + 66 cans of fruit pie filling)

Girl Scouts - Juniors/Cadets

1st - Troop 5th 98254 (170 cans of yams)
2nd - Troop 2nd 98637 ($200 + 127 cans of veggies)
3rd - Troop 3rd 98449 ($100 + 164 cans of cranberry sauce)
